About Jennifer

Jennifer has broad experience in the legal profession, both as an attorney and as a client. Prior to founding Marrapese Associates, Jennifer held various positions in the telecommunications industry where she was known for her strong strategic sense and her ability to build relationships and teams at all levels within the organizations in which she worked.

Most recently, Jennifer served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Cox Communications, Inc., where she led the regulatory effort to launch competitive local telephone service in three markets. During her tenure, she worked extensively with outside counsel, thereby developing valuable insight into precisely what corporate clients want from their law firms.

Prior to working at Cox, Jennifer held legal positions with the California Cable Television Association, the Federal Communications Commission, and the firm of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo, P.C.

She combines her firsthand knowledge of the myriad personal and professional challenges faced by attorneys with her gift for coaching to help her clients achieve greater satisfaction, productivity and profitability through less sweat equity.

A lifelong learner, Jennifer earned her BA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and her JD from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall). She is currently enrolled in a Master's program in Organization Development at the Fielding Graduate Institute.

Jennifer received her coaching training from the Coaches Training Institute. She is also a certified consultant in The Birkman Method, an assessment tool used in leadership development, teambuilding, and one-on-one coaching.

She is a member of both the California and District of Columbia Bar Associations. In addition, she currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Big Sisters of Rhode Island.
